I Left My Heart At Home

How am I supposed to be everything they expect me to be
When I feel so alone ’cause I left my heart at home

Back to my punk roots with this look! I love my versatility with my style; one day I can flip my hair and nose ring to wear more conservative styles, then there’s days like this where I punk it all out and let the septum ring fly and rock out to my pop-punk tunes. I love my tattoos, and I love that I can be two different people for different occasions. Anyone else out there like me? Aesthetic two-faces, with multiple styles?

I’ve definitely been toying with the 90′s grunge comeback with this look; I’ve had this shimmery dress FOREVER but have always had difficulty styling it, but I think I’ve nailed it here. The 90′s would be proud. I’ve also been doing this thing where I attach/embed the music that inspired the title of each blog post, do you guys like that? I figured it’s a good way to incorporate and add new things to my blog and share some of my musical faves with you! Let me know if you readers like it or find it a bother!?

Lace Batwings

I’m BACK! After a tumultuous October, I’m finally getting my life, and that includes this blog, back on track! The weather here in New England has been rather temperate, even with the impending Hurricane Sandy. I celebrated by going out in shorts, albeit UniqLo HeatTech, but still!

As the Sky Darkens

Chipped neon nail polish and plenty of exposed skin. Summer, please don’t end. I never want to wear more than a casual leather jacket, draped across endlessly freckled shoulders.

Maybe these dreams could come true…I’ll keep you posted.

DiY: Leg Chain!

Pretty simple DIY I did the other day!

Materials Needed:

Elastic band

Thick chain

Thinner chain

Jumprings

Jewelry pliers and side cutter

I was able to find all of these products easily at Michael’s, and I must say I’m very proud of my cute new, pink, side cutter (only $7!)

Begin by cutting a strip of elastic to fit snuggly around your thigh and sewing it together. Then, but about a 6-8″ piece of the thicker chain. Using jump rings, attach this piece to the elastic, and this will be your center!

Next cut two (or more if you’d like) equal lengthed strips of the thinner chain (mine were about 12″).

Attach to the center piece using jump rings.

Slip it onto your thigh and voila! Fancy leg :)

RockStarrrr and Giveaway Winner!

I wear these pants I studded myself more often than I showcase on this blog…They’re amazing, and so much fun to just sit here and rub my knees with the palms of my hands.

Shirt by UncleDJ

DIY jeans

J. Simpson boots

Bracelets from Bali, Bloomingdale’s, and Target

Not the best photos, but meh. This shirt was a gift from a pretty awesome DJ friend of mine. We actually met as I discussed the irony and “hipster” fad of his logo, but even I came to wear something with a mustache on it, in support of him and his work.

Anyway, onto what you’ve been waiting for….and the winner to my favorite beauty products giveaway is…..

Congratulations! expect an email from me shortly <3

Thanks to everyone who participated! Hopefully I’ll do another giveaway soon!
