Marc…Andrew Marc

I took a trip to the Andrew Marc showroom today to check out the company and see their new stuff for fall. OHEMGEE. I want their dresses.

Andrew Marc is originally a menswear leather company that made the first ever men’s leather coat with fur on the inside. Today, though, their company has expanded also in to woman’s leather as well as dresses, active wear, and accessories. I know a lot of you are Vegan and what not, but Andrew Marc is quite conscientious about their leather. “None of these skins we use are killed for their skin; they have all died of natural causes or are bi-products of the meat industry”. SCORE.

Anyway, their spring collection is frugal because come on, who wants to wear leather in the spring? Though they do have some adorable trench coats and cropped biker jackets. Their dress line(under Marc New York) was just beginning this season, but have some adorable cocktail dresses.

All these dresses are adorable, yet edgy. LOVE the cut out back one!

As you can see, the prices are fairly mediocre. $150 for a dress is definitely a great deal. Wondering where you can find one of these beauts? Andrew Marc  and Marc New York lines are sold at high end department stores including Bloomingdale’s, Saks, and Neiman Marcus. They also have a small portion of each line available online at www.andrewmarc.com though you’re bound to find a greater selection at the stores.

I know fall is so far away, but let’s talk about Andrew Marc’s FW ’10 collection; GORGEOUS. They’ve reinvented their men’s fur lined jacket for next season as a Lambskin Bomber with rabbit fur on the inside. The woman’s line is, ahh. Cute bombers, fur trimmed suede jackets, and the chic-est leather handbags. The dresses have improved a lot compared to their Spring line. From what I saw (sorry I couldn’t take pictures) they’ve made a lot incorporating lace overlays and chiffon busts. Exciting. Lace and Leather seems like they’re going to be two MAJOR themes in the upcoming seasons; stay tuned for more J
