I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
“Hey” he said “Grab your things
I’ve come to take you home.”
(Back home)
These photos were shot right here in Baltimore over the breezy weekend, on Federal Hill overlooking the inner harbor. I worked with a new photographer, who has potential to be the EffortlessCool official photographer; great potential! He brought some great creativity to our shoot and definitely knew what he was doing; which is refreshing and exciting to me. I’m hoping to put in motion plenty of ideas I’ve had for the blog mulling around inside my head.
Anyway, this was definitely a fun set to shoot, despite the bone chilling wind. I loved the cityscape background mixed with the earthy tones, which lent a hand to playing up the similar colors in my outfit. Seeing the skyline and harbor is really making me fall in love with my new home and I’ve been loving seeing more of what it has to offer, even if my Brooklyn Bones are still aching for the streets I formerly called home.
Someday, Someday.

Two weeks ago, when a snapshot of Alexis Gross popped up on my Instagram feed of her rocking a full head of cornrows , I should have known SOMETHING was up. Little did I know that “something” was her starring as a female version of Alien in Vice’s Spring Breakers-inspired ‘ Spring Break Forever ‘ fashion shoot, photographed and styled by Miyako Bellizzi .
(Sabo skirt top/ Threadsence skirt here / Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Wood in black here / gifted vintage gold necklace/ gold spike bracelet and gold cuff from Asos/ gifted gold/pink bracelet/gifted gold rings) Celebrating spring break and the beautiful LA weather by wearing this beautiful Lush maxi skirt from Threadsence. This is a glammed up version but guaranteed you will see me dressing this skirt down in later posts. Itβs one of those pieces that enables you to do both which is just my style.
