One of the top reasons people have ever heard of Marfa, Texas is because of Prada Marfa. The “store” is an art installation located on the highway smack dab in the desert of Western Texas, 30+ miles from the nearest town. You can’t go in and shop, and there’s only one of each shoe out (to deter theft), but it’s still a really cool concept that fashion girls flock to for their perfect photo opp, myself included.
Hilariously, two weeks before we arrived someone created a play on the iconic Prada store with a Target located just outside the town of Marathon, Texas. I was really kicking myself that I didn’t have any Target bags in the car but it was still a hilarious juxtaposition.
