As an UnderEmployed Fashionista one might say I’m a savvy thrifting shopper. One of my favorite spots is Buffalo Exchange, particularly the one in Georgetown. So when the manager told me about their 40th anniversary party and sale I knew I HAD to be there! I mean, I try to get there on a weekly basis (I’m waiting for someone with size 6.5 feet to just purge their shoe closet), but this was going to be bigger and better.
Saturday morning came and an excited me and not-as-enthralled Z drove into Georgetown ready to see an airstream and some killer vintage pieces. While the bustling city proved to be too busy for a silver bus, the event carried on inside with face painting, amazing deals, free swag, and some seriously buzzing shoppers and associates. Due to it being their anniversary, they brought in some classic Arizona and vintage pieces from boots and satchels to shimmery sequined dresses and accessories. I found some amazing pieces (as always), but unfortunately no shoes (as always), but even the man got some great things.
I took home some limited edition reusable bags, tee shirts, stickers, pens, pins, and temporary tattoos, as well as a copy of their most recent lookbook (LOVE the boho southern inspirations for summer). Donations at the event went towards Yellowstone National Park, and with my BF’s love of all things buffalo, it’s safe to say he’s pleased with the logo’d swag. All this to celebrate 40 amazing years of fabulous thrifting? HELL YES! While most of the southern tour dates are finished, the tour itself isn’t quite done. Be sure to check here to see if the silver airstream party is coming to you soon! And follow the adventures on the interwebs with #Bufex74 !
