I can’t believe it’s halfway through December already guys! Cuh-Razy. Lucky for me it’s been a pretty mild fall here in DC; temps hover in the 50s and 60s save for a few fretful days a la this one and there hasn’t been any snow sightings yet! I’ve been loving it, and totally relishing in the fact that I can wear more than corduroys and turtlenecks still. I’ve been living in lightweight cashmeres and little booties with subtle leather accents; perfect for fall transitions.
I’ve been so busy lately with travel and the holidays that I haven’t posted much but don’t worry; I am working on editing some images from my birthday trip to New Orleans and should have those to share soon! ah-it was amazing !
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday week!

This outfit post is about the outfit I wore for my cold travels through the blizzard through central Maine while on my way North for the Thanksgiving holiday, and of course other familial obligations.
Basic leggings, cashmere zipper woven sweater via Eliza, Jessica Simpson moto boots, Grass jacket from Macy’s, and a warm pashmina scarf in red.

With fall approaching I’m getting giddy for cashmere. Thanks to Refinery29 and Qi Cashmere, I won an amazing sweater, which I finally received in the mail today! Along with it came their stunning Holiday/Resort 2011 Lookbook.
To the right you’ll notice my new sweater! I’d take a picture of it on, but it’s a sweltering 95 degrees today and even in my house cashmere would just be much too much. However, I’m already planning plenty of cute outfits for the fall and winter…I’m thinking cream leggings or maybe light gray!
To the bottom are some scans of the lookbook. First off, the model is gorgeous; love redheads.
I’m loving the hope sweater (they also have it in gray/pink!) and all these sweaters are making me so stoked for fall!
I’m a fan of summer; HUGE fan. But I must say I love the warmth of comfy cashmere sweaters in the fall and winter. I’ve been so excited to write this post but have been putting it off due to it being the wrong cur’/rent season, but I honestly don’t care anymore.
Last winter/spring I interned at this great showroom in NoHo, owned by Jenny Chase and Andrew Bernstein. The showroom specialized in women’s contemporary leather, cashmere, and high end apparel. Most of it was not very my style, much too conservative and simple for my liking. That was until we began to carry Blue Area. This culturally inspired sweater and scarf line came from London. The designer is an adorable, petite blonde woman with the cutest accent. And the sweaters? 100% lust worthy featuring screen prints of pop icons, rock icons, politicians, and other interesting people of history. Notice Jackie O, John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, The Beatles… My all time favorite featured Kurt Cobain of Nirvana.
The entire line is either 100% cashmere or cashmere silk, soooo soft and warm, perfect for chilly fall days!
Now, the sad part. While these sweaters and scarves are amazingly gorgeous and make your mouth water for some apple cider, the prices will make you drop dead. They were bought by stores such as Bergdorf’s, Bendel’s, and Saks and will retail for $500-$1200 for the sweaters, and upwards of $250 for the scarves…No, I’m not missing any periods in there. But hey, for these stunning, warm, and totally unique sweaters I say they’re worth the month or so of saving up for them!
That is all, I just wanted to share this gorgeous line. As soon as fall rolls around I’ll have some more cost friendly cashmere and comfyness to share with you!
