Work and Play

Saturday was a day of both work and play. As some of you may know, I’m a coordinator for the New York Fashion Blogger Meet Up Group. The other coordinators and I, as well as top IFB bloggers and other members of our group attended the Blogger Closet Raid held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. I had just spent my Friday shopping, but once I found Nitrolicious, all plans to “not spend” went down the drain. Having and amazing shoe collection, ALL in my size, ranging from Jessica Simpson to Jeffrey Campbells to Louboutin’s it was like her set up was curated specifically for me. Though I wish I could have indulged in the crystal encrusted Louboutin’s and Xanadu fur JC’s, I knew I needed to think realistically…and then I found the Jessica Simpson moto boots. I’ve been scouring the internet and shops for the perfect studded moto boots to add to my collection, and when I stumbled upon these for their low price there was no WAY I could say no. The following few images were taken by Monroe of Fashion Steele NYC.

After the raid-fest and saying hello to good friends, it was time to get down to work. Monroe, Yanil and I decided to dine and chat at the Tribeca Grand’s lounge, which was full of attractive attentive staff and delicious drinks, as well as coffee and food according to my counterparts.

I hope they don’t mind that I made myself at home on their chairs!

As you can see I’m completely smitten with my new purchase. I’m also ecstatic that my ombre manicure if still going strong, since nail colors usually don’t last long on me due to chipping and such.

Throwin’ on the Louboutin’s

J. Lo brought Louboutin’s into the public eye, but many of us in the fashion industry have known about this fastly-rising to iconic shoe designer for quite sometime. Christian Louboutin, known for his infamous red soled stilettos, has been said to be on the fast track to taking the reins from Manolo Blahnik for top shoes. These fabulous and fiesty shoes have been worn by all your favorite stars and always have the best designs and styles. Best of all, comfort!

For their price they are an item to save up for. Starting at about $500 ON SALE these shoes

are pricey as hell. but c’mon. They’re lust worthy and make you drool. The website is the coolest thing ever, with images of the designer as a magician and slide shows of each shoe in the colors it comes in. These shoes come in an array of styles; heels, short heels, booties, caged, lace, spiked, leather, suede, animal skin;  he’s even done some fetish shoes like Ballet Stilettos. I personally love that he still designs closed toe shoes because, if you know me, I’m WAY over this peep toe trend. There’s nothing edgy, frilly, and fabulous that Christian hasn’t designed.

For all you fabulous Upper East Siders and New Yorkers there is a Christian Louboutin store on Madison Ave and 74th street (right near my work!) where you can buy these crazily priced wonderous fuck-me shoes for all their $800. Yes, money can buy happiness, but it’s expensive. $1000 for perfection for your feet does indeed exist.

But close you’re mouths and get ready to gasp. You’re favorite blogger has found these shoes for under $300 a pair, some as low as $140.

WAIT, WHAT? Yea, that’s right. http://christianlouboutinmy.com carries all your favorite high end, high quality, fabulous shoes for DIRT cheap (well, compared to their retail prices).  Each day and week they run different specials on select styles, and today I just happened to find some stunning white Louboutin slingbacks for, oh yea, $140.

I’m seriously considering the blue pumps in the top row; you really can’t beat that price…Okay, I’m sorry. I have to end this edit because I’m in full on fashion orgasm mode.

Check out the site, buy some shoes, flaunt your red sole and devilishly red soul. You’re fabulous, and you deserve fabulous shoes for cheap! And be sure to tune in, I’ll be doing a full review of this website shortly to show you all that it has to offer.
