When you’re too busy spending time with friends and enjoying the sunshine and only get one photo of your Sunday ensemble….it’s okay.

A little update as to what I’ve been up to: I’ve joined SnapChat (find me: QueSeraSahra), had a battle with le boyf over how much I should be snapping. Had a friend in town, Cinco De Mayo party, and started a new volunteer experience…Busy Busy and I ain’t even mad. And can we talk about this vegan brunch I ate before snapping this outfit shot? I can still taste those wings and man am I salivating at the thought of them!

Anyway, hope everyone is enjoying their spring and I can’t wait to share all that I’ve been working on with you all!

I Want to Make You Feel How I feel When Listening To Love Songs

I’m trying hard to make you love me
but I don’t wanna try too hard
And I’m trying hard to make it lively but I’m here now

A quick little outfit post; Work has been crazy, trying to keep up with NYFW has been nuts, and preparing for some big projects is more on my plate. Oh, and the omnipresent home updates and planning to get a dog. Coming home at the end of a long day to a glass of wine and my perfect man makes it all worth it; the literal four walls holding up our abode that we’ve been working so hard to make our nest.

Those four walls now are the only place where I can breathe out
Those four walls now are home
Those three words now are the only thing that can save me
Those three words now are home

Another Long Winter Trying to Fight this Freeze

Waiting on the cold’s got a hold on me
a hold on me
so hold onto me

Baby, it’s COLD outside! Here in the north east it’s been a steady ten degrees Fahrenheit for a couple of days now and all I have to say is praise the gods for Uniqlo’s HeatTech, I honestly don’t know how I survived before I discovered with almost 3 years ago…This heat generating line features Japanese technology in light weight basics which are perfect for looking effortlessly chic in these below freezing temps.

1993

I went home to MA for a few days of relaxation, and relax I did. I lived in my Jesica Simpson combat boots as opposed to heels and jeans instead of dresses and skirts. I was wearing this Wet Seal laced crop top when I put on a flannel (from pacsun) for warmth and realized I looked like I had just walked straight out of 1993…grunge, piercings, colored hair, crop tops….My parents even had some Sunny D for me to drink!

Fashion Friends, Fleas, and French Food

Sunday I met up with a few of my NYC Fashion Blogger friends to hit up the famed Williamsburg, Brooklyn Flea Market. It was however, my third week in a row there, so I just perused my favorite booths and added my two cents into the other girls’ purchases and potentials. We lounged around for a bit on the gorgeous waterfront which is coincidentally my second favorite view in all of New York City.

As fashion bloggers, we took a substantial amount of pictures of each other, so the images all link back to each blogger’s blog!

After walking around followed by relaxing, we headed to a late brunch down Bedford Ave at an amazing french restaurant. We all had some sort of delicious plate, and then were surprised by a dessert tasting! My favorite is the creme brulee, though the chocolate mousse was decadently rich like a thick fudge and the seasoned fruit cake melted in your mouth.

Mmmm….fancy, delicious, AMAZING creme brulee! Now for the fashion; What I Wore:

As we learn in the fabulous fashion school that is LIM College, all fashion ends in excess. Right now, though, we’re at the beginning of a new trend, midriff bearing. This 90’s trend is coming back to the fashion masses. First seen on the spring/summer runways about 3 years ago, and this past September was seen on the catwalk for Alexander Wang, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and many of the other fashion hierarchies. These showy tops have definitely been making their rise. Now, they’ve successfully made it, and can be found in all our favorite bargain fashion stores.

mmm. I'm so attractive

This is my “Star Gazer” top I fell in love with at Forever 21. It was only $14.50! Forever 21 has a number of different styles for every look you could be going for this season, including nautical themed, studded, and solids.

American Apparel also has a large range of these cropped topped tees. They offer their “Tri-Blend Scrimmage Top” for as long as $16, but prices go as high as $38 for an Interlock Zip Crop Top.

If you’re looking for an even cheaper way to make this trend work for you, maybe a DIY style would be best. You can get a mens’ or boys’ 6 pack of white tee shirts from Target for $7, and then paint, sharpie, and cut to your liking!

Now, as we all know, some people just shouldn’t be showing so much skin, but I think many people I know are able to rock this trend so don’t be scared to try it out! If you’re scared, try it out on just your friends first, though I’m sure all my lovely readers will look beautiful!
