I’m Not The Only One

J. Crew Sweater, Levi's® Jeans, Cole Haan Shoes

Casual Sunday vibes in a borrowed-from-the-boyfriend fair isle sweater, looks like they were borrowed-from-the-boys Levi’s Curve ID jeans and some bold Cole Haan oxfords. Nothing like a pop of color on a cozy Sunday before a winter storm.

Hope everyone is staying warm and dry!

Saturday Festivities: DC VegFest

20130929-134738.jpg

I’m a total foodie. A vegetarian foodie. With a minor dairy allergy. So I’m basically “mostly” vegan.
This past Saturday I made my way to the DC Veg Fest, being as healthy as can be and biking all the way to Yards Park to take in all the wonder of vegan faire and ethically and morally sound companies.
Walked around, sampled food, pet  pups….
Anyway, read more about my adventures and experience of DC VegFest HERE on my pal Holly’s blog, Traveling Pink Lips.

On to the ensembles:

I loved my casual cool outfit; the colors and accessories were perfect for fall, while the shoes were comfortable for walking and the jeans, which are so soft, were great for all the biking! Even my boyfriend was dressed nicely, in a J. Crew button up and his own vintage Levi’s denim jacket! (Yes, I forced him to pose for me) I loved the whole setting of The Yards Park; beautiful bridges, waterfront, and waterfalls!? Talk about a perfect view!

Saturday Adventures

Casual adventures and errands on the first sunny day (and a Saturday to boot!) in what feels like weeks! Went on a walk with family, friends, and furs, then a dinner lunch and flower shopping! A splendid day out, if I may say so myself.

Neon Cool

A perfect suburban summer casual cool look. Holy hell that’s a lot of adjectives, but it gets the point across. Half the time I feel too old to be rockin’ these “hipster” coined ensembles, but it suburbia, barely employed, I think it’s okay. And, I’m only 22, just barely out of my teens, or so I keep telling myself. There’s no rush to grow up just yet, even if there’s plenty of pressure.

Day Trip to the Sea

In my recent job hunting I had a job interview in the seaside town of Newport, RI as a receptionist in a tattoo shop. Combining two things I love, the ocean and tattoos.

I brought my sister along and we made a day out of it, stopping at various scenic points for some fun and picture taking!

I’m a big fan of Levi’s jeans, and I’m proud to have been sized for my curve ID fit. I’m a demi curve :).

While the day was a mild 56 degrees inland, as the sun began to set on the water it began to get a little chilly, so don’t mind the shrugged cold shoulders in the next picture.

Also, directly after the picture was taken, my worst fear of the day came true; the wind picked up my hat and blew it into the ocean. I’m sad, but at $6.50 I guess I’ll have to pick up another.

Band Leader

It’s finally feeling like spring! It was my first few days off after my first week of work plus school (11 hour days). With the nice weather I ventured out for the weekend walking as much as I could.

Blogger Yanil of The Vintage Devil and I met for coffee and to catch up on Sunday, and took a lovely stroll through the East Village, stopping to admire the cherry blossoms in Tomkins Square park and checking out a few potential bars for future endeavors. The mere jacket weather was a perfect break from the frigid Ugg-necessary days of last week .
