It’s True I Crave You

Loving this look I put together for a generic Saturday. Can I just gloat about how fabulous my a$$ looks? BA-donk. Sorry, I’m white and relish every chance I get to feel like I have some junk in the trunk.

Anyway, I’m wearing a new piece of jewelry in my collection! If you haven’t caught on by now, I have a lust for all things aquatic, and this sea horse bracelet is perfect. Eclectic Eccentricity sent it over the Atlantic to me! I love the antiqued gold aesthetic; so rusticly chic. Also, the website offers the bracelet in 3 sizes which means mine is daintily small and perfectly fits my wrist, which is hard to come by in my life thanks to my toddler sized wrists.

Hanging on to those last bits of Summer

Happy October First! Thankfully, the last day of September was a gorgeous 75 degree day, here in New York City. I was feeling inspired, and trying my hardest to hang onto those last bits of nice weather before the cold fully envelopes us.

I’m sooo loving this new lipstick as well (woah, yea, I’m wearing lipstick). I had been on the hunt for the perfect pink shade for so long, and found it one day at Sephora; Givenchy #23. But everytime I was there they’d have the sample but never any stock for me to buy! finally, though, in a spontaneous trip into the Times Square location, I found my lipstick. Perfection, isn’t it?

Guerlain Lipstick Launch at 5F

Wednesday evening I was invited to the Guerlain Beauty Event hosted by Refinery 29 at Bergdorf’s 5F Bar. The event was to celebrate the new colors of their Rouge Automatique lipstick from the famed house of perfume. I arrived slightly late due to my job downtown, but was immediately greeted with champagne, mini cupcakes, and my favorite, mini macaroons! Shortly after I was whisked away to the make up chair for my complimentary Guerlain make over.

I was very pleased with the end result; you may have noticed I don’t usually wear too much make up. In fact, most days I’m lucky if I put mascara on. My make up artist kept my look simple with a subtle smokey eye and some soft matte skin to even me out. She put on the new Guerlain lipstick #103. The make up almost feels weightless, which is perfect for the upcoming summer months as well and as a gift at the  event they were giving away their coveted bronzer.I also fell in love with their dual ended mascara, which I may have to end up buying at some point soon!

After my make over I did some interviews with Refinery 29 and Guerlain people, as well as took a bunch of pictures with everyone around!

The event overall was a great experience, and I can see that Guerlain is trying to appeal to the more youthful fun demographic, which I fully back. I can’t wait to try more of the colors (I’ve had my eye on 163) and more of their other products as well.
