New In: Presidents Day Shopping

I don’t know what it is, but it seems like every Presidents’ Day I go shopping and score some amazing deals from all the sales! This year was no exception; scored me some Prabal Gurung for Target (possibly my favorite Target collab ever), some indulgent magazines (I can’t wait to see where Joanna Coles brings Cosmopolitan!) and this killer high waisted leather skirt and Hogwarts tee from Savers! The sale at my fave thrift store was too good to be true; the tee was $1.50 and the skirt… TWO DOLLARS. Far too good a deal!

Did you do any sale shopping over the weekend!?20130220-122016.jpg

I’m leaving for Baltimore and Washington DC tomorrow, and it will be a pretty low-key and relaxing trip, but be sure to follow me on my social networks to keep up with all the fun I’m having!

The New Is In

I’m feeling better already

I introduce to you, Sahra 2013. It’s been a long week of self evaluation and reflection and I’m here to introduce the new me. I will not accept what I know I don’t deserve. I’m ready to take the world by storm in the aspects of jobs and relationships with my new “big girl” hair. It’s time to buckle down and stop wasting time.

My inbox has been flooding with good emails this week; paid writing gigs, possible editing and writing full time job, modeling bookings, blog sponsors… I’m ready to be the 23 year old adult I am and that means losing the Ariel locks; I haven’t had brown hair in YEARS, but it’s day two and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve kept my versatile and fun sidecut and septum piercing, but we all know those are hideable and still a tribute to my fun-loving youthful side.

THIS is growing up.

I’m ready to take 2013 by storm (a month in)!

Some more pictures of my new look:

Weekend Shopping and fun!

This weekend was a blast! Not only was my wonderful boyfriend visiting, but I had a photoshoot, got alot done, and spent quality time with some people close to me.

Here’s a few images from Saturday’s photoshoot (though it had little to do with clothing/fashion).

As you know, after that my Saturday was spent outdoors browsing the ‘hood with Cody. We checked out a local thrift store, where I found an AWESOME sequined shirt…for only $10! (for outfit info click here)

Since Cody has never been to the infamous Cafeteria with me, we went Sunday morning, along with my hairdresser/friend Sarah. As always, the mac n cheese spring rolls were a gift from god. I ended up trying a bunch of new drinks off their cocktail menu as well!My first drink was a Lychee Lavender, while Cody sipped a deliciously prepared Jameson and Ginger. I recently downloaded a new photo app for my iPhone, as you’re about to notice. It’s called Instagram and you take a picture and there’s, like, 15 filters you can add to it to give the image a different feel!

We ventured from Cafeteria to Union Square, and then down to Waverly Place for some much needed American Apparel. I bought an awesome ring at Aldo, that bodysuit I’ve been lusting after FOREVER from AA. Then, today (Monday) I went to Sephora and Macy’s, picking up some Kat Von D Tattoo Liner (pretty much the best eyeliner besides gel/cream) as well as a Material girl shirt and Steve Madden dress.

Also tried on a couple of tops that I didn’t get. The leopard chiffon was by Ginger G I think? And this amazing asymmetrical ripped knit is by Kensie. I’d like them both, very much!

Since it’s spring break I will have plenty of time to work with these new pieces and can’t wait for all the updates this week!

Hope everyone is enjoying their breaks, or whatever they are doing!

Erin Fetherston for Juicy Couture

Juicy Couture has never been a place that I shop. Velour is not my thing, and wearing sweatpants in public was a pet peeve of mine. Recently I’ve been reading about how Erin Fetherston has teamed up with the “House of Velour” to bring it in a new direction.
Obviously I was skeptical at first. After reading more into it, though, I must say I’m impressed. With classic looking silhouettes and Fetherston’s romantic floaty style, she added elements of velour and rhinestones to stay true to the brand. The end results? Stunning.

Though velour is still not one of my favorite fabric to be draped in, the dresses are beyond gorgeous and who knows? Maybe I’ll try one with minimal velour and ease myself in.

The line hits stores just in time for the upcoming holiday season, and with that warm velour they’re the perfect dress for those holiday fiestas. No word on the price range yet, but I’m guessing they’ll be similarly priced to Juicy’s current products, potentially slightly more.

In other news, I would just like to thank you, all of my readers. My site hit a new high yesterday, with 253 viewers. I’m so, like, heart warmed by that. I never thought this blog would rake in such attention and good reviews! Thank you all, I hope you continue reading and suggest me to your friends 😀
