Classy Gal

One of my favorite things about myself is my versatility. Today, I flipped my hair, covered the shaved bit, threw on a more conservative summer dress and some sparkly jewelries, and called it a day. This alter ego is usually reserved for job interviews, important meetings, or court (oh, parking tickets), but today I just felt like being a little classier.

It’s funny how society can view and treat you differently based on your aesthetic sometimes…Scratch that, most of the time. If you’ve been following anything on the news lately, though, you may have seen the handsome mohawked man landing a robot on Mars, and that really got me thinking about how the times they are a-changing. So, for a good read if you’re curious or into the rebellious look but want to keep your job, please head on over to FemInspire and give my latest article a read!

More From Kyle Burnell

As previously stated, while on vacation in Maine I did a photoshoot with local photographer, Kyle Burnell. Here’s a few more shots from that fun early morning shoot!

Intimately Free People sleeveless hoodie

Target Bikini

Black tailored men’s shirt from my Dad

This sleeveless hoodie is honestly one of my FAVORITE pieces of my wardrobe. It’s perfect in the summer, as a beach cover up, as a risque top, as an extra layer addition. I have some outfits in the works with it that are just…well, I mean, I think they’re pretty rad. You’ll have to wait and see them!

Hope you enjoy the images!

Granma’s 90th

While on vacation we took a break from our home cooked dinners to go out for my grandmother’s 90th birthday dinner. We took a nice family picture (which we then had framed and given to her as a gift). We then went to a Pine Point local restaurant called the Captain’s Galley. With minimal vegetarian options I opted for fried vegetables with penne and alfredo. My 14 year old brother, though, made my night. I’m a HUGEfan of french fries, so my brother verrrrrry sneakily snuck a fry on my plate at every chance he got, completely under my radar, making it so every time I looked down I had a greasy, delicious fry poking out of my pasta! In the picture below we had just taken a picture with his arm around me where he stuck one in my mouth. Silly, but it made my night.

Alice Yim cocoon cardigan

DB sandals

As you can see, on those cold Maine evenings I’ve been living in this amazinglyyy comfortable cocoon cardigan. Be sure to get YOURS just in time for fall here! I’ve been keeping this casual, but with my return to NYC I’ll be ready to glam up everything, so be prepared for some killer outfits to come!

Vacation Inspirations

Every year my family takes a 10-14 day vacation to a family owned house on the beach front in Scarborough, Maine. This year, I’ve already started planning (slightly prematurely) what exactly I should be wearing and bringing, besides my usual simple plain tees, shorts, jeans, and hoodies for over my swimwear. I’d like to share with you my mid-summer vacation fashion inspirations.

(please note none of these images are my own. Almost ALL have been scrounged from Tumblr)

Things I’ll be sure to bring:

White denim

tribal top/s

caged wedges

long skirt

comfy knit (those Maine summer nights grow oh so cold!)

sneakers

tee shirts

Fringed tops

a nice dress, or four.

BOLD SWIMSUITS!

And just to warn you all, this vacation will be July 6-16th, so bear with me if my posting is sparse during those days, I may be too busy enjoying the sunshine and surf! 😀

Oh, and while jello shots are a definite, I think I’ll have to test my culinary skills to make these:
