Another Long Winter Trying to Fight this Freeze

Waiting on the cold’s got a hold on me
a hold on me
so hold onto me

Baby, it’s COLD outside! Here in the north east it’s been a steady ten degrees Fahrenheit for a couple of days now and all I have to say is praise the gods for Uniqlo’s HeatTech, I honestly don’t know how I survived before I discovered with almost 3 years ago…This heat generating line features Japanese technology in light weight basics which are perfect for looking effortlessly chic in these below freezing temps.

Ugly Sweater Season

Welcome to December; the month of holiday parties, ugly sweater clad whether it’s the theme or not. I was asked to model for a poster for an upcoming Ugly Sweater party by the talented Greg Easton, and jumped at the fun opportunity! I borrowed the sweater vest from my mom, and I love her, but she has quite the collection of hideous holiday themed knits. At least they’re fun and keep us jolly and laughing!

Old photos from the warmer months of a trip to Newport, RI where I toured the Breakers Vanderbilt mansion. It was a gorgeous place with spectacular views and just so spacious and dreamy!

Garden City Plaza

I was feeling cabin feverish the other day so I decided to get outside. The Garden City shopping center in Cranston, RI was the perfect location! I could walk shop to shop between sunlight and air conditioning with my delicious Berry Hibiscus Refresher from Starbucks; damn those things are good.

Also, I get alot of questions about my tattoos and figured I’ll do a post about them. If anyone has any specific questions about them, comment with them and I’ll have them answered later this week!

The Hawaiian Shirt

I wore this fun summer look to a fun afternoon out in Providence with my friend Greg (who also shot the photos for this post!) where we went to a few local shops and boutiques before stopping in for deliciously fresh smoothies at Amy’s on Wickenden Street.
Personally, I’m thrilled with the tropical print trend right now, and even more excited that my father seems to have finally, ever so slightly outgrown some of his shirts. Yes, my father and I were the same size. And now, just in time for summer I can don his beloved tropical print tops and give them back before they make their way back out of the fashion spectrum.

Providence Pride

This Saturday my little sister took me to my first Gay Pride Festival ever, and I must say it was quite fun. When scrounging for something to wear I tweeted something along the lines of “what says ‘I like to drink and have fun and support the LGBT community, but I won’t go down on you’?” and I think I succeeded pretty well! We lounged under some shade in between enjoying the booths, and snacked on delicious organic macaroni and cheese from the Rocket food truck! For dinner? Deep fried Twinkie’s, Oreo’s, and Reese’s. Holy heart attack.

Day Trip to the Sea

In my recent job hunting I had a job interview in the seaside town of Newport, RI as a receptionist in a tattoo shop. Combining two things I love, the ocean and tattoos.

I brought my sister along and we made a day out of it, stopping at various scenic points for some fun and picture taking!

I’m a big fan of Levi’s jeans, and I’m proud to have been sized for my curve ID fit. I’m a demi curve :).

While the day was a mild 56 degrees inland, as the sun began to set on the water it began to get a little chilly, so don’t mind the shrugged cold shoulders in the next picture.

Also, directly after the picture was taken, my worst fear of the day came true; the wind picked up my hat and blew it into the ocean. I’m sad, but at $6.50 I guess I’ll have to pick up another.

BEG (for your life)

Once upon a time I was a 17 year old girl who moved to New York City to pursue her dreams. I was a model and an actress, and doing rather well for myself. And then I grew up, and realized I wouldn’t be young and thin forever so I went to college.

But in those three years before my education, I did a lot of great work. One of my favorite projects was working on the four years coming horror film, BEG. I shot the majority of my scenes when I was 18-19, and the film has FINALLY premiered last night at the Rhode Island Horror Film Festival, where it took the award for Best Feature Film and Best Actor for Tony Moran (The original Michael Myers!)

Here are some pictures from the set, granted they’re a few years old, but that’s me, in character as “Becky”!

I play a cheerleader who stupidly goes walking into the Salem, MA woods alone to get to a party…and we all know what happens when a girl goes into the woods alone in a horror film!

It’s a great movie, and I’m so happy to have been a part of it! Be sure to look for it on FearNet and other horror sets, it should be there soon!
