Sister Weekend

Sorry for my lack of posts; I’ve had the winter blues, some personal issues (what else is new) and my sister came to visit! It was my sister, Briana’s, first time in NYC! I took her around to do the touristy things and have some fun, and I felt like sharing this part of my life!

We rode the Times Square Toys R Us Ferris Wheel!

Nutella ice cream Dessert from Ruby Foo’s (after dinner, of course)

Our matching tattoos!

February Flurries ❤

Our bus ride back to New England.

❤ Hope you’ve enjoyed a peak inside my few days well spent with my little sister, whom I love!

Dia De Los Muertos

Halloween is probably obviously my favorite time of year, and the past few years it’s gone hand in hand with the Dia De Los Muertoes, the Mexican holiday of the Day of The Dead.

While last Halloween I was a sugar skull for the actual Halloween and costume parties, this year, I did a sugar skull photo shoot early on in October and was fairly “normal” for Halloween festivities, until the actual Day of the Dead.

So on November 2nd a local bar, Union Pool, was having a little Dia De Los Muertos party and costume contest. I’d left my tu-tu at my mom’s, so I went in just face paint (and my Misfits tee and studded knee jeans and combat boots). I also did Cody’s make up again, so fun!

How was everyone’s Hallo-Weekend? Did YOU do anything fun for the Dia De Los Muertos?

Go Try It On Halloween

Tuesday night I was cordially invited to the exclusive costume party hosted by website GoTryItOn!  GoTryItOn is such a fun interactive site that I use where you upload pictures of your looks BEFORE you go out and people write their opinions! It’s like the old school webcam chatting with friends, but you get a vast range of opinions from people all over the world who loves style as much as you do. You can view my profile on the site here.

So anyway, they invited me to their exclusive holiday party in SoHo. The venue was decorated, the DJ was exceptionally great, and there were jack-o-lantern buckets of candy and fun costume extra’s on every table.

I went as Wilma Flintstone, though I kind of made my hair too big and my bones were hardly noticeable. I also convinced my “plus one” to let me paints his face for an hour into a skeleton, which turned out to be a huge hit!

I wore a white dress from rainbow, pulling a Monroe and staple-altering it! Also wore Bakers heels, a fringed bag from Limited Too, and a fur jacket that my mother had bought me for Christmas a few years ago.

The party was so much fun, and I can’t wait to get the pictures back from the photobooth there!

Also, please note this is my FIRST costume…there will be many more to come so stay tuned! ❤
