Currently Coveting: Sunglasses

After that beautiful weekend (which seems long gone, now with the snow) and my upcoming exciting trip to Mexico City, I’m craving some new sunglasses! I want something new, modern, trendy…so I’m ready to shop one of my favorite affordable web shops, Persun Mall! Click the links below to shop the styles!sunnies

1.    2.      3.     4.      5.

What’s trending now is round frames; 70’s edgy vibing, especially with the shapes (love the triangles!) I’ve also been a long time fan of a subtle cat eye, so the black and burgundy pairs are perfect for glamming up mah face!

Be sure to check out the sunglasses section of PersunMall for your next great pair before the sun and weather are back out in full force!

Lace Batwings

I’m BACK! After a tumultuous October, I’m finally getting my life, and that includes this blog, back on track! The weather here in New England has been rather temperate, even with the impending Hurricane Sandy. I celebrated by going out in shorts, albeit UniqLo HeatTech, but still!

Housewarming

WARNING: This post contains alcohol. If you care, stop reading.

Now that that’s over! You may have read that I recently moved and am now living with three other, fashion fun and fierce, lovely ladies. We’re all fairly new to the apartment so we went on and threw ourselves a little party inviting more fashionable people’s around for a night of debauchery and many things I don’t remember.

Abbey Dawn Tee Shirts

Growing up I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with Abbey Dawn designer Avril Lavigne. When she first broke out I loved her fearless tomboy/rocker style. I was insanely jealous of her rocker Sum 42 Boyfriend, then husband, now ex all-of-the-above. Avril was never on the top end of the fashion/gossip columns, yet she’s maintained a love for the industry. When her line, Abbey Dawn, released, I was skeptical. But, against the odds, her line has been going strong, and even expanded into men’s tees.

I was recently asked to model some of their tee shirts, which aren’t half bad. They’re the usual brights of the season, with graphic prints and designs, similar to what I was most commonly seen wearing back in my high school days.  Many of the shirts bear designs common to the current “rocker” or “scene” trends; mustaches, thick rims, diamonds, etc.

Also wearing Armani Exchange Jeans.

Here are a couple more tee’s from the set shot by Manny Hui.

Be sure to check out the site AbbeyDawn.com if you’re into rocker tees and accessories!

Stevie Boi Shades

the girl on the left ❤

One of the first events I was invited to cover was the show and release party for Stevie Boi Shades’ new line “The Woods”.

Stevi Boi is similar to A-Morir, only slightly more affordable and edgier. The event began with mingling; cupcakes, drinks, photographers, other designers, etc. Many of the guests were exceptionally dressed, but my iPhone and only camera were dying so I didn’t get too many pictures from before the show, though my friends for AllEyesOnWho.com got some great pictures which can be found here. Some of my favorite images that they took of my favorite dressed girls…

Fans and Stevie Boi. The girl to his right in the blue; she’s actually wearing a hooded blue body suit and she had gorgeous shoes on…Just saying!

And now, shots of the line :

The entire line was inspired by fairy tales, as you can see; Rapunzel, the wicked witch, Hansel and Gretel, goldilocks; all with an urban spin. LOVED the entire show! Like the shades? buy them online at StevieBoi.com

and lastly, a picture I’m in!

Enjoy! next to come? My coverage of the Alice and Olivia presentation! with ACTUAL camera pictures!!

Bring on The Stunna Shades

Sure, its still raining out, but I’m SO ready for sun, especially with the release of 12 new designs by A-Morir. Designer Kerin.Rose brings you the choicest shades to stand out in style. Top clients include the infamous Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Estelle, and Katy Perry. These stunning shades and frames were also recently used on the Fall/Winter 10 runway show for Christian Siriano. All A-Morir shades are totally unique and so skillfully crafted; no one yet has even attempted to reproduce them. The brand, the inspiration, the repertoire are all spectacular.

(immage from Status Magazine, Issue 10)

Kerin.Rose seems to be inspired by Past pop/rock idols as well as particular style era’s. The newest products include a pair of Iggy pop inspired frames beaded in black as well as Janis Joplin inspired oversized shades and Petula Clark inspired funky framed shades.
My favorites, though, are the A-Morir classics. “Barracuda” shades are some hip hop favorites, made of black studs with a car tint effect; people can’t see you through the shades, but you can see them. Second favorites are the Sioux Lace Eyewear. I’m a big fan of lace for the upcoming season and what better way than rocking out and blocking out (the sun)!
Customer and consumer favorites appear to be the many variety of Love/Hate convertible sunglasses. These shades have a chain (or diamonds or pearls or neon chain…etc) that can be worn a multitude of ways. Each style is encrusted with beads for added flair.
As for price, these fashionable sun blockers are pretty high (when compared to the $10 Kanye wanna-be’s you can find on the street). Prices range from $150 up to $600. But you’re paying for originality and a total statement piece, so in my opinion, its worth the splurge.

Where to buy? www.store.a-morir.com Also, I suggest following A-Morir on Twitter (@Kerinrose).

Now, bring on the sun and shades; let spring reign!
