I Love the Place Where We Shared Our Tiny Grace

but just because it’s real don’t mean it’s gonna work
I was out of your league, at a distance that I didn’t wanna see

I was all sorts of pale for this Valentine’s Day, jeeze. I spent it on the daily grind, helping my father prepare a cute night for my mother, then socializing with other single pals and plenty of wine! Hope you all had a good Valentine’s Day, in a relationship or not! Also, please excuse any shakiness and imperfections in these images, I asked my father for help and he hasn’t the greatest eye for proper blogger composition! What can ya do?

Singles Day

Mmmm Valentines Day. The day where women put plenty of pressure on MEN and expect the most out of their loves ones. The day Hallmark and other greeting cards company make use of their red dyes.

Also, the day single people drown their sorrows in wine and grimaces. Obviously, this year I’m single. I spent the day blogging and doing some work from home, breaking in my new TopShop tights in an “all dressed up but nowhere to go” type situation. And then made my brother take photos when he got home from school.

Thankfully, my Valentine’s Day ended on a better note, with a three course fondue meal with my family and some good ol’ White Zinfandel wine and a box of chocolates.

Valentine’s Day <3

This year was the first time I’ve been in a healthy, quality relationship for Valentine’s Day. As an over-the-top kinda girl, I wanted to go above for a fancy night with my babe. We ate at Felix in SoHo, a delicious french bistro. Actually, it’s the restaurant Adam Sandler peed on in Big Daddy, so the bf was kind of stoked about that.

Thank god the weather here in NYC has picked up to a 45/50 degree average a day and I was able to go without tights! The dress fit rather well and left room for my imminent food baby.

After dinner the handsome man decided to buy some Patron, which we mixed with Orangina…delicious! Fruity and sweet yet not TOO sweet!

Patricia Field’s Valentine’s Ball

After the IFB conference and workshops I went home and immediately changed to go to the Patricia Field Valetnine’s ball. I got there early to take some backstage pictures of the models getting ready, hair and make up and such. All of the models were professional dancers from various companies around New York City. Make up was by Llamasque, who I LOVE for their pigments. THe event was co-hosted by the fabulous DJ Cassidy, and sponsored by (in addition to Llamasque) Trojan Vibrations, Cafe Bustello, and Belvedere Vodka, YUM!

Around 10 pm the party was starting. Belvedere had reps making drinks at bars lining the entire wall of the Captiale’s ballroom. The model/dancer’s were go go dacing all around, and guests were coming in for photo ops dressed like the club kids of her demographic. I took my photo taken, took some with some other fabulous guests, and mingled about. The party was also in celebration of Patricia’s birthday so she was merrily drinking and looking fabulous. Thankfully I managed to get into the VIP section, meeting up with Richie Rich, Angela Simmons, and a number of fabulous people.
