Hello! My name is Sahra I’m a twenty-something currently living in Washington, DC blogging about style + travel. Fashion is my life; from my youth as a model, I moved from suburban New England to The Big Apple at age 17 to focus on modeling and acting. From there I decided to study Fashion Merchandising at LIM College while balancing a full time job in retail buying. I founded the NYC Fashion Bloggers Group with two friends, worked many-a NYFW (front of house, back of house, and as a model) and managed to travel and explore the way others were living. Six years later In 2013 I moved south to the Nation’s Capitol for the love of my life and started getting involved with the blogging communities here.
I started my blog Que Sera Sahra (formerly EffortlessCool) in 2009 to document and keep track of my sartorial forays. I’m eclectic and versatile which aids in making me relatable to a broad range of readers. Tattooed and pierced but totally classy, I have ever changing hair but it’s always half shaved (an ode to my punk days).
Boutique hotels and AirBnBs; I love the feeling of comfort in being able to ask a local for where to go in a new place. You’ll find that many of my travel posts center around animal excursions and/or shopping for the coolest local finds.
